At 17 years of age, Aguma Alice has two children, a boy (2 yrs) and a girl (7 mths)
She lives in katwe slums after losing her family to a kalamojongo cattle wrestling conflict in moroto, she started living with her grandfather who eventually started sexually harassing her, she was repeatedly raped and defiled by her grandfather.
She had tears and bruises and lost a lot of blood that later had started rotting, she says it was painful, and as any other hopeless child, she heard the streets calling her.
In pain and desperation, she joined the streets, where she has been gang raped many times and eventually got pregnant.
She has two children, and is not aware of the real father.
She was later identified by one of our social workers during an outreach program she was attending. As part of her rehabilitation, she would like to train in hair dressing if she gets a sponsor so that she can start a new life and take care of her children off the streets.
